I'll Make You Banana Pancakes

DUDE. The new Jack Johnson CD is the BEST!!!!

It's so carefree & tropical. Laidback and fun. Refreshing & upbeat!

Here's a gem from Track 3:

Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside...
But Baby, You hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song is meant to keep ya
From doing what your supposed to
Waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
I'll make you banana pancakes
Pretend like its the weekend now

This was me today...

I drove to work strangely light-headed and tired. Picked up a "Well-Being" juice drink to load up on vitamins and other coldbusters. Barely an hour into the day, I was stuck in the bathroom wondering if I'd have to flag the next person who came in to send for help.

It eased up enough for me to drive home. I think it was a combo of some kind of virus, plus having nothing but fruity juices, milk & cereal and cold medicine in my system - that concocted the shooting pains in my gut and made my head spin. Safely in my PJs at home, I hunched over my laptop and read through WebMD's various symptoms and possible cases. Did you know that 1 in 15 get Appendicitis - which is treated only by Surgically removing your Appendix?! And taking gas medicine could cause it to rupture sooner?

Went to the doctor later in the afternoon and she didn't see anything of concern, so that was relief. (No Appendicitis for me today, thank goodness.) Now I'm just checking the emails before heading to bed early. Hopefully nothing exploded at work while i was out...

Skeeball & Silly Putty

Tonight was fun... my friend Merri organized a post St. Patrick's day get together at Dave N Busters in Arcadia. I invited Mel and we met up early to shop at the Mall.

Although it's rather pricey to play mostly the same games that little kids put a few quarters in to play... it's a great atmosphere and adults can be kids without real kids there to get in the way. :) Mel and I accummulated about 280 tickets between us... so i walked away with 2 hackey sacks and she got Silly Putty and an Egg Yolk colored Super Bounce Ball.

Now I'm back home and I'm surprisingly not exhausted - and it's 1:30 in the morning! Good thing i took that 20 minute nap in the afternoon! :)

Now listening to "Look What You've Done" by Jet, on my MuVo. Very Beatles-ish. I like.

Got yer green on?

I wore my green duds... but there wasn't much St. Patty's hoopla in the office. Not one "I'm gonna PINCH YA" e-cards neither. I guess that's too 2003. :)

Sooo glad the end of the week is near. And next week is a short week as well! Whooo hoo!! Some sad news is that a bunch of folks are resigning at work. One guy whose been with the company for 8 years is finally flying the coop to pursue movie making. In fact, he's been filming random scenes at work... should be interesting to see the final results.

Saw that my High School's 10 year reunion's date was set for August. Still mulling over whether or not to trek to my old hometown for it. It just seems weird and awkward to see people who have stayed teenagers in my memory - as full grown adults... with families, or nose jobs, or receding hair lines... (shiver) Maybe I'm over thinking it. I guess i have plenty of time to decide... :)

Mini Mouse

Yeah... Friday made it finally!

After getting home at about 8:30pm from work (gotta love these 11 hour work days), I got a cute surprise from Herman... just because... [what a SWEETIE!]{hope he reads this}

It's a little mouse for my laptop! :)

I was borrowing his optical mouse for my laptop, but then he needed it back, so i tried to use the built in touch pad (not a big fan)... and of course, i started complaining that i was rubbing the pads of my fingers off... so ... he got me this TINY little optical mouse... it's TOOO cute. It comes with this case that's equally cute. (They could just sell the case at girly stores and it'd be so popular!)

tiny critter

And as for that MuVo review... it's GREAT! Perhaps the sound quality could be better, but I guess that's what BLASTING THEM at full volume is for. :) I think i can fit about 9 CDs on this 512MB. Which is good enough for the price range i was looking for. Right now there are 7 CDs in there, 1 MP3 formatted, the others WMAs... I just love how tiny the player is. The earplugs are a little big though... so they kind of make my ears ache after a while. (Or am i listening this too much?)

It's very tempting to listen to the MuVo ALL the time. To the point where walking to the bathroom deems worthy for a Muvo Moment. :) I guess it can seem a little rude to wear these while walking around the office. It's like you don't want anyone talking to you or something. :) hm... now there's an idea... heheheh

Hello MuVo!

In preparation for an upcoming vacation... (OH YEAH)... I was inspired to get a small little MP3 player to bring all my tunes with me where ever i go.

Oddly enough I was kind of staying away from the MP3 craze. The players seem to be getting smaller and have more features and I just didn't want to get sucked in getting one, only to see a better one the next day for the same price. But I gave myself an excuse - long plane ride, must listen to my own music!

I was pretty amazed at the Ipod Shuffle. My friend Taro got it the week it came out and I just couldn't believe that tiny piece of plastic could do what it did. I used that as a basis for what i would try to get for myself... the main reason i didn't get the shuffle is because the charger was another cost (and i won't be traveling with a computer) - and all the other cool accessories were add on costs too.

In steps Creative® 512MB MuVo® Micro N200! For about 102 after tax, shipping, rebates, etc... I get the tiny player - plus a display - plus an armband holder - plus it uses AAA batteries that can be bought anywhere in the world - plus it's super cute!

Once it's delivered, i'll update my blog with my critique... :)
