Toe smashing fun...

Watched "Kung Fu Hustle" while munching Hawaiian BBQ Chicken takeout from Shakas.

This was the second time we've seen it now. We originally wanted to catch the flick in the land of its creation, while we were in HK, but by the time we were there it was already on VCD. So when we got back to the States... we caught it in the theaters and it was pretty hilarious, as expected. :)



Perhaps the line between the violence being 'cartoonish' funny and being malicious and disturbing was a bit blurred though... so for those who haven't watched it... be warned! Shaolin Soccer contained hello kitty injuries compared to this movie...

Here are my favorite scenes (hopefully without giving anything away) from the flick: The 'backfiring' knife throwing, The splintered stick 'tap' by a 'pulpy' lead character, and the Sentence-Stopping Toe Smash move.
