Zoom Zoom June

This month has really zoomed by! I can't believe it's almost JULY!

Happy Birthday PHIL! I just checked out his site and it's FULLY Loaded! :) Amazing accomplishments for a guy who just turned 13! Okay, so he's a little older than that. Okay, he's ALOT older than that. ... HI PHIL! :)

This weekend my friend Sonya is getting married... All over again! (Yes, to the same husband... phew! hehehe) It will be the first Beach wedding i've been to. (Not that i've been to that many to begin with...) Hope it's not freezing cold and windy like all the other days I've visited the beach this year. This place should be bea-u-ti-ful!

So what's my fuzzy virtual puppy been up to, today? Trying to look cute and innocent of course! You'd never know he chewed through a few pairs of shoes... good thing those were only my virtual shoes...

My Summer Dooo

So on Friday the 10th i made a Sunday hair appt for cut and highlights... without really knowing what i wanted to do with my hair. Saturday the 11th i bought a hair magazine while picking up some stuff at Target. Saturday night i put some post-it notes on the best contenders.

Sunday came and went, and here are the final results...

I dusted off an old-school gif-animator program to make this. hehehe

It's now the 18th, and to even get it looking close to how my hairdresser styled it, i think it took all morning. (My hair curls on one side and get's poofy looking. I wasn't blessed with the typical straight shiny asian hair.) But it's still more fun than what i had before... and the kiddie ponytails are much more fun in this cut. :)

Great Dehydration Movie....

Oh Boy.

So I watched "The Notebook" finally. And it was good. And it was sweet. And it was charming. And it was sad. And it gives your eyeballs a gooood watery workout.

If you haven't seen it, and wanted to.. YOU must! If there's a bit of sadness in your life, it helps to let that sadness flow. Sometimes is just good to have one big sadness release. When it gets pent up... i don't think that's healthy. So this movie... it helps... it's like "fiber"... that helps the sadness flow, hopefully right out of your system. Sounds kinda gross, doesn't it?

Meanwhile, I discover that my imaginary puppy "Lucky" has a little problem with his caffeine habit...

*sigh*
I hope i don't have puffy eyes tomorrow.
*another big sigh*

shake and wake

Good Morning peeps!

I almost slept in today... but instead i got shaken awake by a quake! Did they purposely make shake and quake rhyme?

Anyhoo... i was too awake to fall back to sleep so i got to the bottom of the quake location.

Got a hair appt planned today. Plus a bunch of errands... that includes washing and waxing the car at a carwash, with a coupon. And the radio weather man raved that this weekend was going to be a HOT one! I'm looking out my window to overcast skies... looks pretty chilly out there.

Listening to the new Coldplay. This is the first album purchase I've made of Coldplay. I really liked "Yellow" and pretty much every other radio hit from them... but never thought of getting the album. So for some reason, this time... i was ready to purchase their new album ... without waiting to hear if their songs made it to the radio. So far so good. Coldplay's music is almost fine-tuned now to be "Movie" music. There are a few that you listen to and you just KNOW they're gonna overlay this on top of something with Julia Roberts or Natalie Portman or something.

Speaking of which... i had a chick flick night at my place and we all watched Closer for the first time. I was afraid my guests were all going to get up and leave - that or throw heavy objects at my tv. :) Basically it's a movie about 'cheating' and how 'love' is never as easy as two people loving each other and living happily ever after. A lot of crap and lies and tears and strip bars can happen in between.

And last, because I don't think i'll be able to actually have a real puppy and give it a good home like it should have, I'll virtually pretend I have one, and live through my Blog's imagination. SO, here's "Lucky"... my new virtual pup. He's playing in my virtual grassy green garden.

When Turtles Attack

Sonya has been good Turtle Samaritan and after reading my post about my misbehaving Turtle "Bully" - she immediately sought out more proof to keep the two turtles permanently separated.

Here's one of her findings: Just hit the "Play" button to see what she found:

Who needs a dog to guard a house, when you can just have a turtle?

My Future Puppy...

I'm not sure if it's a temporary condition, but I have been in Puppy Pursuit mode for a while now.

This doesn't mean i'm ready to go out and get one today, or this week or this month... but it's that feeling that you know you definitely want to consider it and start planning for when (or if) that perfect time comes.

Step 1: Choosing the type of puppy:

I think I have narrowed it down to getting a Yorkshire Terrier. These little guys are SO adorable as puppies and stay small and cute as adults! I'd have to learn how to groom them and hopefully housetrain and most importantly - not accidentally step on it since they stay around 8 lbs or less!

Step 2: Prepping for the costs of puppy ownership:

Before I get a puppy I should save up ALOT. I wouldn't be surprised if the puppy was at least $1000 initially, then the food costs, and I'd probably consider 'pet day care' often, perhaps a pet sitter because I work so long hours, vet costs, health insurance, grooming costs... yeah. Save ALOT. But look at that face...

Step 3: Prepping a list of all the reasons I shouldn't get a puppy:

This last step is what i need to linger on, so that I delay getting a pet until I know that i can handle EVERYTHING on the list of 'reasons i shouldn't get a puppy'. Things like, messing up the furniture, carpets & floors. Things like being not being able to go on trips without pre-planning. Things like daily 'poop walks' and vet appointments. You know... all the things that make owning a pet more than just "it's soooo cute!".

Sigh.

But it is sooooo cute!
